Q1: Is the strawberry experience available throughout the year?

No. Strawberry harvesting is seasonal, generally available from January to May. During this period, visitors can enjoy strawberry picking and tasting at the local farm. Outside the harvest season, the experience still includes the trout farm visit, scenic ridge hike, and Suryachaur sightseeing.

Q2: How demanding is the Suryachaur hike?

The hike is relatively easy to moderate and suitable for travellers with a basic level of fitness. It includes approximately 2.5 hours of mostly gentle ridge walking through oak, pine, and rhododendron forests, followed by around one hour of downhill walking towards Jhor. Comfortable hiking shoes are recommended.

Q3: Do I need previous fishing experience to enjoy the trout farm activity?

No previous fishing experience is required. The rainbow trout fishing session is beginner-friendly and suitable for families and children. Basic guidance and fishing assistance will be provided at the farm.

Q4: Are vegetarian meals available during the farm-to-table lunch?

Yes. Vegetarian meals can be arranged upon request. Since the standard farm-to-table lunch features freshly caught rainbow trout, please inform us in advance so we can prepare a suitable vegetarian alternative, such as traditional dal bhat or dhido with seasonal vegetables.

Q5: What should I bring for the Kakani and Suryachaur day trip?

We recommend bringing comfortable hiking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a small backpack, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a reusable water bottle, and a camera. A light rain jacket is also advisable, particularly during the monsoon season. Carry some extra cash for personal expenses and optional purchases at local farms.
